Does Dr. Mork use a laser

Dr. Mork has used the laser in over 7000 cases. The laser is used primarily for soft tissue removal, it does not cut bone very well. Over the years he has found that other tools, like radiofrequency probes do a better job on soft tissues, so the laser is used less frequently. The are some cases(Cervical Facet Syndrome) where the laser is the best option, so of course, it would be used in these instances.

Dr-Anthony-Mork

Dr. Mork has personally performed more than 8,000 endoscopic spinal surgeries.  He has also designed some of the specialized tools used in laser spine surgery and is constantly pursuing the improvement of spinal care.

Dr. Mork has been instrumental in developing some of the current endoscopic spinal surgery techniques.  He is one of the originators and wrote or co-authored 11 peer-reviewed articles on the topic of endoscopic spine surgery techniques available today. He was the co-founder of Microspine and is a national instructor for Richard Wolf, the largest producer of endoscopic spine equipment in the world. While others copy his techniques, he is always moving forward.

Dr. Mork represents the future of endoscopic laser spine surgery.  He has even helped patients with prior failed spine surgeries and fusions.

Unlike most surgeons who operate based on just the MRI findings, Dr. Mork’s diagnostic method will determine exactly what your problem is so that it can be resolved,  thus minimizing guesswork.  It may not be enough to plan a spinal surgery on the MRI alone.  Spinal mapping may be very helpful to obtain the diagnosis.

Dr. Tony Mork operates a concierge practice, emphasizing education, the diagnosis, communication, first class care and cutting edge technology.  Dr. Mork is committed to his patients, their care and their desire to be pain free.

Dr. Mork, Dec 7, 2017 was the 7th anniversary of my surgery. I was very anxious and you helped me to understand. You and your staff did a great job. I never told you, but you were the 7th specialist I visited. All had a radical plan. You had a more gentle vision for me … and you were right. I am always eager to share my story with anyone who mentions back pain. It’s a big decision. Make the right choice. Thank you for your help. Mark Campassiread more

Doctor really had video chat with me and spent enough time to listen my problem. It is unbelievable that doctor and his assistant keeps replying me to get more details.Till now, my experience with other doctors was very bad, either doctors don’t have knowledge or don’t have time, but Dr. Tony Mork has good knowledge and really spend enough time in his busy schedule to see patients and reports. I first met Dr. Mork 14 years when he performed surgery on my upper back. It was like a miracle! I went in one day with excruciating pain and walked out the next day pain free. I had been told by different patients this would be the case, but I found it hard to believe. I am now a believer! The area Dr. Mork worked on has been 100% pain free for 14 years. I am returning to his clinic for surgery on my lower back. Since my first visit Dr. Mork has started doing phone consultations. He was so thorough in his explanation one would have thought I was a new patient to the entire procedure. This process is extremely effective and saves trips, days, and time in his office. I am so excited to get the relief I have needed for several years now. There are doctors in our area and all around the state of Texas that claim to do a similar procedure, but I have so much confidence in Dr. Mork that I am thrilled to travel half way across the United States to obtain his services. I would highly recommend his as a surgeon !read more

Before my phone consultation with Dr. Mork I watched close to all his videos and was impressed with his knowledge and easy to understand explanations of how he would approach each particular spine problem. His videos don’t seem commercialish like most others. Only a guy explaining, in simple terms, how he can help you and video procedures to show exactly how he will accomplish it. I decided to schedule a consultation and sent my MRI results. His office staff is very professional and helpful to the point I had a consultation by the end of the day. Amazing right! After finishing my phone consultation I was impressed enough to take the time to write this. I like his logical alternative to spinal fusions and his stance that this should only be performed when there’s no other recourse. A pragmatic thinker for sure and someone I believe I could put my trust in.read more

Understanding the cause of my back pain was very important for me, and that is what Dr. Mork did over the phone in a free consultation we had a few days ago. Dr. Mork is the Man! In 2004, I had pain so excruciating that I couldn’t walk, stand or sit for more than about a minute. I spent hours just lying on my stomach. I had several doctors including Neurosurgeons at Mayo Clinic (Jax) tell me they couldn’t help me (due to bone fusion and scar tissue from prior procedures as a result of fractured vertebrae, herniated discs, etc.). I saw multiple doctors over a period of about 3 months who couldn’t figure out the problem. Dr. Mork looked at my MRIs and in about half a minute said – “there’s your problem”. He operated on me shortly thereafter and the results were a huge blessing. I had a baby daughter at the time who I couldn’t even hold, never mind play with prior to the procedure. She’s now 13 and we have a 9 yr old son and we play hoop, ski, etc. I don’t often remember the names of doctors from so many years ago or go out of my way to write reviews, but I remember Dr. Mork and I’m so grateful. He’s also a nice guy (unlike some doctors who act like you should pay them extra to say hello). I would say that Dr. Mork was a huge blessing to me. I had lost about 35 pounds in the 3 months before meeting him and having the surgery. I had been taking heavy duty pain killers including morphine. I’m not sure I would even be alive today if not for the successful surgery. God bless Dr. Mork!read more

Dr. Mork was better than exceptional. He took the time to do the tests needed to accurately determine what the issue really was whereas other doctors were ready to go after the first MRI. Two days after my surgery I was at the beach relaxing in the waves. I am now 7 weeks out from my surgery and I can confidently say that I haven’t felt this good in more years than I care to think. Dr. Mork and his staff took the time to stay in contact throughout the entire process. He has given me the ability to pick up my daughter again. He has given me my life back. I would implore anyone looking for a good Dr to give Dr. Mork a call.Bone chip/spur removed C4 – C5.Had broken off into nerve cavity. Was ruled an extra bone grown from birth. Dr. Mork was the only one who found this. Other Dr’s wanted to fuse it and that would have only worsened my problems ten fold. Couldn’t have asked for more. Thank you Dr. Mork and staff!read more

Dr. Mork has operated on me twice – once about 8 years ago in Florida, when I was having severe pain from spinal stenosis. I’ve been pain free all those years, and recently (since arthritis doesn’t go away and can cause stenosis again) I was starting to have the same symptoms and didn’t want to let it go until it became severe once more.I visited a neuro surgeon here in Cincinnati and he wanted to do a 5 hour fusion of my lumbar area! I said “no way”! I found Dr. Mork on the Internet and learned that he was now in California. Sent him a disc of my MRI, had a phone conversation with him, and scheduled surgery. Flew out there on Wed., had a consultation with him on Thurs., and outpatient surgery on Friday. He came to my hotel on Saturday and changed the dressing, and I flew home on Tuesday. No pain now, and two tiny incisions – because he worked on L4-5 and L3-4! I would highly recommend Dr. Mork!read more

I had lower back surgery 23 years ago where I was fused. It was a terrible experience and the pain did not go away until years later when I used other methods to get rid of it. A few months ago my hands and arms began to hurt and go numb. I had and MRI that showed severe stenosis in two cervical vertebrae. I knew I wanted a very good endoscopic surgeon, but really didn’t even know if one existed in the Untied States. I searched for several weeks through the regular doctor channels, but couldn’t find one that I really felt comfortable with. Then I found Dr. Mork on an internet search. I watched all of his videos and read the reviews. I contacted Shannon, his extremely qualified assistant and a nurse who sent me a link for the MRI written and electronic copy. Within 4 days my wife and I had a phone consult with Dr. Mork who went thoroughly over my MRI with us. We were both very excited about getting my back taken care of without fusion. I was so impressed that I had my son contact Dr. Mork and we both had surgery a day apart in Mission Viejo, CA. Within 3 days I was able to stop taking all pain medication and have been pain free ever since. I’m 78 years old so it is still a major surgery and it has taken time to recover, but I haven’t had any pain issues to deal with. Dr. Mork is truly a gifted surgeon and a really caring and good person. He saw us every day at the hotel after the surgery and have had communication with him or Shannon over the following weeks. They are very special people.

I had pain in my low back for a while that I lived with. After being rear-ended the pain was daily and my life style had changed. I spoke with a couple of friends that used Dr Mork and they had nothing but praise. I was told by other doctors a fusion was needed. I did my homework on Dr Mork and decided to send him my MRI for his review. He explained what was causing my pain. I scheduled a discogram and CT. He was able to pin point the exact problems causing my pain. A couple of weeks after surgery it was difficult to rest because my back felt so good. It’s been eight weeks and I haven’t felt this good in a long time. I highly recommend anyone with back or neck pain get his opinion before doing any surgery! I can tell you the incision is only 3/8” and not one inch as other places advertise. The medical equipment he uses is absolutely the least invasive out today. Thank you Dr Mork.

This Dr. Is truly one of a kind. He always took his time to listen to me both on the phone and during our meeting times. He is the best in his field. I travelled from Kentucky to Miami because there are no other Dr.’s in the United States that do this procedure. I took a chance and it was very well worth it. Dr. Mork explained everything to me in detail and called me after I went back to my hotel after the surgery. He called me the next day as well. I have never had a Dr. Call to check on me after a surgery. Thank you for being exceptional!

Dr Tony Mork has done surgery’s on some of my family in the years past. On 3/8/17 I had a pain mapping surgery at Miami Medical Center and of course Dr Mork performed the surgery.. the surgery was very successful. Then on 9/27/17 my wife had surgery.. She had a angular tear on L5/S1 that was extremely painful. Dr Mork has a special way of fixing this and so far has been very successful. Dr Mork is a professional that treats people like he would like to be treated.. Also if he can’t help you he will tell you. Thank you Dr Mork…

Dr. Mork is a professional doctor, and I will be seeking treatment from him in the future when I have the resources. This process he has of reviewing the MRI images I uploaded from my home, and calling me is a ground-breaking method. It was convenient, and allowed me his professional guidance, without much effort on my part – amazing. I now have information on how to move forward with treatment of my back issues. This process he uses of “pain mapping” is a no-nonsense approach to treatment, and Dr. Mork only treats what he can find is wrong which can eliminate another spinal fusion for me. Thank you Sir.
